Irene Pike

Irene Pike age 83 of Grand Rapids, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Beacon Hill of Eastgate. Irene was born July 17, 1936 in McBain, MI the daughter of Alex and Katie (VanderVlutch) Bronkema. She and her husband Karl served together in Christian Ministry for over 50 years. She conducted 335 Mother & Daughter Banquets, Retreats and Christmas Programs over the years. She last worked at Bibles International for 9 years. Surviving are her husband, Karl whom she married on June 14, 1958; children, Kamilla (Dan) Boerema, Kimberly (Dale) Cederquist, Kevin (Janet) Pike, Kelly (Tom) Grifhorst, Kraig (Rachel) Pike, Katrina (Chris) DeMan; 19 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Diane Bronkema, Lori (Mike) Schutter; brother-in-law, Jon (Marilyn) Pike. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. The family will greet friends Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. The service will be held Monday 11:00 am at Good News Baptist Church, 6830 Eastern Avenue SE, Grand Rapids with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Her grandson, Pastor Brian Cederquist officiating. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Alpine Township. Memorial contributions may be made to Bibles International or the Beacon Hill Foundation.
