Irene E. Korcal

Irene E. Korcal, age 94, formerly of Croton, died Saturday, May 2, 2015 at St. Ann’s Home. Mrs. Korcal was born September 21, 1920 in Sand Lake, MI the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Sagorski) Strzalkowski. She enjoyed bird watching and fishing with her husband Frank. Prior to living at St. Ann’s she was active in St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Newaygo. Surviving are her son, Fred of Grand Rapids; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Charlotte Korcal. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank T. Korcal; son, Richard; daughter-in-law, Deb; brother, Floyd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann’s Home, 2161 Leonard St. NW, Grand Rapids. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Sand Lake at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
