Herman G. Satterfield Jr.

Herman G. “J.R.” Satterfield, Jr., 63 of Cedar Springs, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at his home. J.R. was born June 11, 1948 in Roxboro, NC the son of the late Herman and Bera (Lee) Satterfield, Sr. He served in the U.S. Air Force Squadron 3710 for 15 years and was a member of the Cedar Springs American Legion Post 287. He had a passion to play the drums and had retired from Cleggs Pest Control. He leaves behind his wife, Brenda; children, Brenda Smith, Ron Helterbran, Crystal Allan, C. David Satterfield, Carrie Wade all of North Carolina, Barbara Heath of Hastings; 22 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Susan Moon, Penny (Wally) Wallace; brother, Eddie (Karen) Satterfield. A memorial service with honors will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at the Cedar Springs American Legion Post 287. Private family interment at Elmwood Cemetery.
