Helen V. Parcher, 98 of Newaygo, died Friday, May 25, 2007. Mrs. Parcher was born December 14, 1908 in Sand Lake, MI the daughter of Anthony and Angeline (Zoppa) Lanesky. She was a parishioner at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Newaygo and had retired from Grand Rapids Metal Craft. She was an avid Detroit Tiger Fan, enjoyed fishing, and playing bingo and cards. Surviving are 1 daughter, Janet Tanner of Newaygo; 1 son-in-law, Edward (Nola) Alberts of Comstock Park; 1 granddaughter, Deborah (Nick) Sauline; 1 great grandson, Derek (Samantha) Sauline; 1 great great granddaughter, Hailey Sauline; 1 sister, Mary Middendorp; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; daughter, Marilyn Alberts; brother, Joe Lanesky; sisters, Anna Hartman, Genevieve Carr, and Bertha Morris. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, www.blisswitterspike.com, where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday 11:00 am at Mary Queen of Apostles, Sand Lake. Rev. Fr. Joseph W. Kenshol celebrant. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Parnell. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
