Helen M. Nielsen

Helen M. Nielsen age 94 of Cedar Springs, died Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at The Brook in Cedar Springs. Mrs. Nielsen was born March 31, 1925 in Casnovia, MI the daughter of Glen and Blanche (Essex) Harper. She was a loving mother, grandma and a wonderful great grandma. Surviving are her husband, Walter; daughter, Karole (Russell) DeBoer; grandsons, Kristapher DeBoer, Nichalas (Kristy) DeBoer; great grandchildren, Kennedy and Ethan DeBoer; brothers, Norman (Delores) Harper, Darold Harper; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Evelyn Bremmer, Doris Ringler; brother, Russell Harper; sisters-in-law, Charlene Harper, Janie Harper. The family will greet friends Friday from 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where the service will be held Saturday 11:00 am. Pastor Chuck Smith officiating. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, Cedar Springs. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice, Grand Rapids.
