Heidi (Oppenneer) Watts

Heidi Jo (Oppenneer) Watts age 65 of Sand Lake, died Friday, May 1, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 21, 1960 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of the late Jerald and Joann (Johnson) Oppenneer. Heidi had a passion for being outdoors and working with her hands. She loved to sew, tend her garden, can food, and cook for her family. She enjoyed camping and shopping. Most of all she cherished the time she could spend with her grandson and family.

She is survived by her sons, Tyler Blanchard, Cody (Kelsey) Harper; grandson, Sutton Harper; brothers, Randal (Diane) Oppenneer, Dan (Raelynn) Oppenneer; special nieces and nephews, Allison, Nathan (Jennifer), Jeff (Ricky), and Justin Oppenneer, Rebecca Weaver; and beloved dog, Winnie. She was preceded in death by her uncle, Bernard “Bud” Oppenneer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Heidi's name to Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Foundation.

Memorial visitation will be held Friday, May 8, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., at K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
