Harold E. Flintoff

View Photo Tribute Harold E. Flintoff, 90 of Sand Lake, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2006 at Metro Health. Mr. Flintoff was born September 19, 1915 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Roy and Mary (Dagley) Flintoff. He drove school bus in Sand Lake and had worked at Wolverine World Wide for 28 years retiring in 1980. His real love was farming where he started out working with horses. He bought his first and only tractor in 1947. He was a member of Sand Lake United Methodist Church, the Cedar Springs Golden Agers and enjoyed sports of all kinds. Surviving are his children, Thomas & Sue Montgomery of Sun City Center, FL, Jan Rae & Rich Stevens of Howard City, Harold E. & Tanyia Flintoff, Jr. of Walton, IN, Jacklyn & Ronald Baker of Howard City, Kathleen & Gary Fessenden of Sand Lake; 21 grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by wives, Louise and Aileen; a son, Bruce; and a brother, Richard. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, where the funeral service will be held Friday 1:00 pm. Pastor Don Turkelson officiating. Interment Pierson Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sand Lake United Methodist Church.
