Harold L. Bowers, Jr.

Harold L. Bowers, Jr. 58 of Cedar Springs, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at his home. Harold was born February 5, 1950 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Harold and Wilma (Duston) Bowers, Sr. He retired from Tower Automotive in Greenville and loved spending time with his grandson, the outdoors, and hunting and fishing. Surviving are his wife Arlene (Davis) whom he married on October 24, 1970; 3 children, Harold Bowers III, Judith & Aaron Amacher, Ann Bowers and her fiancé Matt Rupa; 1 grandson, Aaron James Amacher; 1 brother; 4 sisters; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, www.blisswitterspike.com where services will be held Saturday 11:00 am. Pastor Bill Vis officiating. A luncheon will follow at Pine Grove Fellowship Hall, Howard City. Private family interment will take place in Solon Township Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
