Harley Bruce Cartwright

Harley Bruce Cartwright age 61 of Cedar Springs, died Thursday, February 28, 2019 at his home. Bruce was born June 28, 1957 in Detroit, MI the son of Harley and Mary (Hyde) Cartwright. He had served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a member of the West Michigan Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union #174. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He had a very big heart and loved his kids and grandkids. Surviving are his children, Harley Morse, Jammie Richmond, Kasey Dye; stepchildren, Tracy Bates, Trevor Bates; grandchildren, Jordan, Alexus, Asia, Andre, Samari, Gerron, Nylah, Unitus, Tristin, Kaleb, Devin, Brayden, Trenton, Isabella, Dominik; mother, Mary Cartwright; brother, Randy Cartwright; mother of Bruce's four children, Diana Lichner. He was preceded in death by his father, Harley Cartwright; brother, Dennis Cartwright; son, Cody Cartwright; stepdaughter, Jodi Bates; wife, Tamra Cartwright. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 9 at 12:00 pm at Solon Center Wesleyan Church. Pastor Bill Dixon officiating. Military honors by the Kent County Veterans Honor Guard.
