H. Russell Farwell

H. Russell Farwell, 93, formerly of Cedar Springs, passed away peacefully in his home at Whispering Woods, Grand Rapids on Thursday, August 13, 2009. Russell was born March 23, 1916 in Bowen, IL the son of Dr. Harry Russell & Ida (Califf) Farwell. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Kaye; his children, Becky and Nancy; his brother, Jack; and his grandchildren, Roland, Russell, Hannah and Natalie. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Rosalie; and his son, James Russell. A celebration of his life will be held Monday, August 17 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Cedar Springs with Pastor Mary Ivanov officiating. The family will greet friends at a luncheon following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice or the Cedar Springs United Methodist Church.
