Gretchen (Rogalewski) Rozeboom, 87 of Sand Lake, went to be with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 17, 2008. Mrs. Rozeboom was born December 15, 1920 in Sand Lake, MI the daughter of Joseph and Louise (Studor) Rogalewski. She was the youngest of seven children and married John Rozeboom in 1946. She and her husband worked side by side together on their farm raising chickens for their egg business in the 1960’s and 70’s. They continued to farm the land until the mid 1980’s. She was a loving person and deeply devoted to her family. In later years she discovered that she had an artist ability and loved to paint in oils. Surviving are one daughter, Jannifer Frank of Sand Lake; 3 stepchildren, Maynard (Glenda) Rozeboom of Missouri, Ronald (Judy) Rozeboom of Ionia, Lorraine (Jerry) Patrick of Manistee; 2 grandsons, John Ludlow and Thaddeus Ludlow, Sr.; 2 great grandchildren, Rachael Gaffney and Thaddeus Ludlow, Jr.; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John in 2002 and a son-in-law, Michael Frank. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be announced in the spring.
