Grant D. Shattuck

Grant Duane Shattuck, age 89, of Cedar Springs, MI, quietly departed this life on Saturday, July 27, 2019, passing peacefully into the arms of Jesus. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm. on Saturday, August 3, 2019, in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Shelbyville, IL. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Pleasant, MI on May 8, 1930, to Andrew and Ada Shattuck. Grant was united in Holy Matrimony to Eula Compton on August 24, 1952 at Mt. Zion Methodist Church, in Illinois. This union was blessed with three children, Susan, Steve and Ruth. Grant and Eula served together in ministry as pastor and wife for a total of 42 years in Michigan, Montana, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana and finally retiring in 1998 to Michigan. Grant is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Barbara Shattuck of Cedar Springs, MI; daughter, Ruth Arteaga of Loganville, Georgia; son-in-law, Michael Dondlinger of Cedarburg, WI; five beloved grandchildren as well as nephews and nieces. Grant is preceded in death by his dear wife, Eula, his brother and step siblings, as well as his beloved daughter Susan Adella Dondlinger.
