Glenn E. Tennis

Glenn E. Tennis, 79 of Kalamazoo, died Friday, July 23, 2010 at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. Glenn was proud of his military service, serving in the U.S. Marines in the Korean War. He spent most of his working life delivering for Hostess Cakes. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Barbara (Nolan); 7 children, Glenn Jr. of Marcellus, Sherrie (Dave) Jones of Sturgis, Linda Smith of Dunlap, TN, Mary (Larry) Lounsbery of Fremont, Jeff (Sherry) of Mattawan, Kim Anspaugh (Jim Sandlin) of Paw Paw, Debbie (Scott) Jenkins of Madison, AL; 24 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Jerome Tennis of Terre Haute, IN and Mary Jo Ceballos of Fremont, MI. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Holtz; siblings, Malcom Tennis and Jane Carpenter. The family will greet friends Tuesday from 4-6 pm at First Baptist Church, 1133 E. Centre Avenue, Portage. The funeral service with military honors will be held Wednesday 1:00 pm at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans Chapel, 3000 Monroe NW, Grand Rapids.
