Gerda Denboer

Gerda DenBoer age 76 of Cedar Springs, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. Gerda was born April 7, 1945 in Sneek, Friesland, Netherlands the daughter of Henry and Henrietta (Fulkerts) VanderWerf. She supported her husband, John first as a police officers wife for 30 years, a missionary wife at Continental Baptist Mission and a pastors wife at Cloverville Baptist Church in Fruitport. She loved being a mom and grandma. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, John; children, Dawn (James) Lee, Dennis (Bonita) DenBoer, DeAnne (Scott) Jewell, Duane (Joy) DenBoer; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brothers, Ralph (Mary Jane) VanderWerf, Donald (Sue) VanderWerf; sisters-in-law, Trudy, Virginia and Anne VanderWerf. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Pete, Henry and Walter VanderWerf. The family will greet friends Monday, April 12 from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am at Alpine Baptist Church, 692 - 7 Mile Road NW, Comstock Park. Pastor Douglas Compton officiating.
