Geraldine V. Smith

Geraldine V. “Gerry” Smith, 85 of Grand Rapids, formerly of Cedar Springs, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 1, 2008. Mrs. Smith was born December 15, 1922 in Rockford, MI. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Cedar Springs. She is lovingly remembered by her family as a wonderful wife and mother, and an excellent cook. Surviving are her husband, Arthur, whom she married on May 5, 1943; 2 sons and their wives, Philip (Kenda) Smith of Flushing, Kim (Connie) Smith of Cedar Springs; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Gerald. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-7 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, where services will be held Wednesday 1:00 pm. Pastor Jim Howard officiating. Interment Solon Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, Cedar Springs or Hospice of Michigan.
