Geraldine S. Gorby

Geraldine S. Gorby age 87 of Pierson, passed away Friday, March 26, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Gorby was born April 21, 1933 in Sand Lake, MI the daughter of Lyle and Ila (Kirby) Sipple. She worked the farm most of her life and enjoyed horses. She was a good cook and loved going to the casino. She was a loving mother and her family was very important to her. Surviving are her husband, Ray; children, Michael Gorby, Kathy (Kim) Newton, Sally (Wayne) Newton, Mark (Tammie) Gorby; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a special niece, Marie; a special nephew, Jim. She was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Gorby; siblings, Lyle Sipple, Irving Sipple, Jean Sipple and Violet Sipple. A private family graveside will take place at Trufant Cemetery. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice, 750 Fuller Avenue, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
