Gerald (Jerry) Zielinski, 90, passed away on August 6, 2021 at Mission Point of Cedar Springs, MI. Jerry was born August 7, 1930 to Leon and Marie (Budzynski, Budd) Zielinski and raised in Pontiac, MI. He attended Cedar Springs High School. As a young man he began working from home and honing his upholstery skills. He shared his craft by becoming an adult education instructor. Later Jerry made a new home in Avondale, CO while continuing a career in restoration work and raising beloved Arabian horses. From an early age Jerry had a penchant for the arts. When not working he could be found singing for an occasion or karaoke, or acting in a play. Throughout his lifetime Jerry entertained and uplifted us with song, drama and a myriad of stories. Surviving are his children, Teri (David) Marin, Timothy (Anna Marie) Zielinski; grandchildren Tony (Courtney), Jessica (Randy), Rachael (Mark), Marisa (Ryan), Lauren (Dustin); great-grandchildren Austin, Nixon, Hudsyn, Talula, Elena, Will, Maria. He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn. A memorial visitation will be held at Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home Friday, August 27 from 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to an equine or animal shelter of your choice.
