Gerald (Jerry) Antvelink

Gerald (Jerry) Antvelink age 71 of Pierson, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 10, 2020 at his home with his family by his side. Jerry was born September 14, 1948 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of EJ and Helen (Rozela) Antvelink. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Joy; children, Colleen (Matt) Leonard, Eric Antvelink, Shannon (Chad) Price, Brian (Lacey) Antvelink; grandchildren, Bram, Rhys, Eva, Ashlynn, Lincoln, Kellan, Addalyn, Easton, Daxton; sisters, Dee (Marv) Piccard, Jan (Art) Kingsley; brother-in-law, Bob Otis; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Karren Otis. Jerry was a graduate of Union High School and Michigan State University. His work in sales brought him great pleasure, first selling mainframe computers to Fortune 500 companies, and later selling insurance with Health Markets. He was proud to be a member of the Masonic Doric Lodge and Shriners. What Jerry loved most was the 35 years he spent with family and friends at his home on Big Whitefish Lake. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, September 16 at 2:00 pm at the South Harbor Church, 1907 64th St. SW, Byron Center. The family will greet friends before the service at 12:30 pm and following the service at a gathering outside. Pastor Tim Wilson officiating.
