George W. Cain

George W. Cain, 74 of Grand Rapids, died Sunday, March 5, 2017 at his home. George was born December 26, 1942 in Lansing, MI the son of Arthur and Esther (Starks) Cain. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines serving in Vietnam and retired from General Motors 36th St. plant in 2000. He was a member of the Wolverine Skyhawks, a model airplane flying club since 1995. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Surviving are his wife, Linda; children, Martin (Beth) Cain, George Cain, Kevin (Amy) Cain, Gary (Jill) Nees, Michael (Stephanie) Nees, Donna (David) Duckworth; 25 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Michael (Kim) Cain; sister, JoAnn Crooks; sisters-in-law, Judy (Frank) Santoviz, Janet Niedewiecki, Marcia Lott. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 half brothers. The family will greet friends Thursday from 12 noon until time of service at 1:00 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Pastor Bruce Wilson officiating.
