Gene C. Banfill

Gene Carter Banfill age 81 of Cedar Springs died Saturday, February 11, 2023 peacefully at his home. He was born in Grand Rapids on December 10, 1941 the son of James and Naomi Banfill. Gene was a machinist at Burke E. Porter Machinery Company in Grand Rapids for many years. He had a special talent for being able to fix anything, even computers and cars. Gene enjoyed going to the Halfway Diner, playing Halo, and was a ham radio operator. Surviving are his daughters, Dominique (Bill) Cantile, Elisa (Bruce) Stone; granddaughter, Crystal Stone; brother, Jim Banfill. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary and Mike Banfill. Private graveside services were held at East Nelson Cemetery. Arrangements by K. E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
