Gary Lee Monroe

Gary Lee Monroe age 72 of Howard City died Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus. Gary was born February 21, 1950 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Robert and Sarah Esther (McIntyre) Monroe. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed playing his guitar, fishing, hunting and his 1986 corvette. Gary was a very positive person and had a great sense of humor. He loved his family and was very hurt he never got to know his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Adele whom he married on July 6, 2007; children, Gary Jr., Jason, Dennis (Casey), Sarah (Larry), Sheri (John), Tamra, Lee; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; siblings, Richard (Gay), Frank (Sam), Lorraine (Rick), Pauline (Dave), Marie (Bob); many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Larry Dean, Paul and Bob; 1 granddaughter. The family will greet friends Thursday, April 14 from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church, 304 Shaw St, Howard City. Pastor Josh Putnam officiating.
