Gary G. Male

Gary G. Male age 79 of Cedar Springs, passed away Friday, October 6, 2023 at his home. He was born February 21, 1944 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Orton and Evelyn (Sheler) Male. Gary was a retired locomotive engineer with C&O Railroad, Grand Rapids, MI and Amtrak, Richmond, VA. He retired from the Navy Reserves (Seabees) with 20 years of service. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Lorena (Wiggins); children, Dan (Heather) Male, Debra (Brian) Kubacki, Darlene Male, Donna (Rick) Cotten; grandchildren, Kindi (Adam) Smith, Brandy (Mike) Yancey, Steven "Keith" Norvell, Brianna (Dan) Krieter, Felisha (Mike) Coblentz, Fernon (Chris) Klein, Fallon (Kevin) Richardson, Fenessa (Dakotah) Dada, MavRick (Aubree) Cotten, Elayna Male, Nathan Male, Olivia Male, Aleea Male; 22 great grandchildren with 3 more on the way; sister, Helen (John) Tate; brother, Art (Karen) Male; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Hale, Suzane (Richard) Willis; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim Male; many other family members. The family will greet friends Thursday, October 12 from 6-8 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where the service will be held Friday 11:00 am. Viewing starting Friday at 10:00 am. Pastor Mark Robb officiating. Interment with military honors at Courtland Township Cemetery.
