Gary David Hill

Gary David Hill age 63 of Cedar Springs, went to sleep and is waiting for the return of Yahushua on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born June 11, 1962 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Gary and Janice (Rondeau) Hill. He graduated from Sparta High School in 1980 and attended Grand Rapids Community College. Gary served from 1981 – 86 in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Henry Clay. He then served in the Michigan National Guard Third 126th Infantry. He was a man of many trades and could build anything, enjoyed gardening, farm animals, singing, Bible studies, learning Hebrew, and camping. He was a loving husband to Jeannette, whom he married on June 30, 1990. Also surviving are his children, Nelleke Lavigne, Catherine Hill, Samantha (Ryan) Weaver; stepchildren, Benjamin (Keren) tenHaaf, Deanna (Brad) Allar, Jennifer (Ryan) Hodges; grandchildren, Josiah, Charlotte, Elisabeth, Paul, Sarah, James, Asher, Adellia, Riley, Hayden, Duke, Justin, Mya, Alexander, Jessie Jr; Anteaus; mother-in-law, Geeritje Borgeling; parents, Gary and Janice Hill; siblings, Angie (Ron) Drent, Christine (Brian) Holland, Tracy Hill (Marlon Dorma); brothers & sisters-in-law, Carin (Tim) Hartwell, Koob (Ruth) Borgeling, Henry (Linda) Borgeling, Eve (Craig) DeWaard, Ralph (Anne) Borgeling, Ingrid Entingh, Eric Borgeling; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Jan Borgeling; son-in-law, Jessie Levigne; brothers-in-law, Carl Eggebeen and Michael Entingh; nephews, Christopher Borgeling and Michael Borgeling; niece, Amanda Drent. The family will greet friends Wednesday, October 22 from 5 – 7 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where the service will be held Thursday 11:00 am. Mr. Phil Barnes officiating. Interment Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta. Memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice.
