Frederick S. Singer, 61 of Coral, died Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Spectrum Health – Butterworth Campus. Fred was born November 21, 1950 in Stockbridge, MI the son of Fred and Elaine (Young) Singer. He graduated from Stockbridge High School, attended Michigan State University and proudly served four years in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. He retired from AT&T after 34 years of service. Fred loved to ride his Harley’s, was an avid outdoorsman, a devoted Civil War historian, a member of the North South Skirmish Association, and a friend of Bill W. Surviving are his significant other, Eileen Mueller; father, Fred Singer; brothers and sisters, Joe (Lavonne) Singer, Pat (Julie) Singer, Nancy (Frank) D’Amico, Betty (Steve) Schaner; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Elaine in 2010. The family is grateful to Gift of Life for the benefit that will come to others through Fred's death. Private family services will be held at Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Rev. Fr. Joseph W. Kenshol officiating. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pinckney, MI.
