Frederick “Rick” Wert IV age 70 of Cedar Springs died Saturday, May 25, 2024 at his home. He was born June 16, 1953 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Frederick and Norma (Gessey) Wert III. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and used duct tape for everything. Surviving are his children, Scott Bedell, Jason Hoover, Christina (Dean) Wendling; grandchildren, Cyle, Athena, Sam, Chelsea, Seth and Ashley, Shelby; great grandchildren, Chloe, Chase, Ezra, Isaiah and Dexter; brother, Tim (Jodie) Wert; nephews, Cory Wert and Troy Wert; great nephew, Devin Wert. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Diane in 2023. A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 6 at 11:00 am at Idlewild Cemetery, Kent City. Pastor Rick Miller officiating.
