Franklin "Mick" Denton

Franklin E. “Mick” Denton age 73 of Sand Lake, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2009 with his family at his side. Mick is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jeanette (Coady) Denton; his sons, Mike Denton of Piscataway, N.J, Jim (Nora) Denton of Sand Lake; 4 loving grandsons, Mickey & fiancée Kyni Rae, Coady & fiancée Rachel, and Tim & Ted Denton all of Sand Lake; sisters Barbara Lowry of Greenville, Wava (John) Heyboer of Holland; brother Larry (Joanne) Denton of Howard City; several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law Crystal & John Nelson and brother-in-law Ralph Lowry. Mick was owner and operator of Denton & Sons Water Well Drilling for over 50 years. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday 11 am at Mary Queen of Apostles in Sand Lake. Rev. Fr. Thomas Hack celebrant. Interment North Ensley Cemetery.
