Franklin Marlatt

Franklin Marlatt, 79 of Gowen, died Friday, October 18, 2013 at Twin Oaks Retirement Home, Gowen. Frank was born November 18, 1933 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Percy and Myrtle (Buckner) Marlatt. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and had worked at the Sparta Foundry. Surviving are his stepchildren, Charles (Liz) Benedik, Paula Benedik, Frank Benedik; grandchildren, Matthew, Spring, Jade, Candice, Sierra, Austin and Jason; sister, Helen Mourer; brother, Milton Marlatt; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wives, Betty and Hitchie; and two sons. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 10 - 11 am at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Private interment will follow at Spencer Mills Cemetery.
