Floyd A. Waite age 88 of Cedar Springs, passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his family after a long battle with Alzheimers and Dementia on the evening of Saturday, June 8, 2019 and has gained his eternal life in Heaven. Floyd loved deer hunting, bowling, gardening, camping, tractors and horse pulls. He enjoyed family time and was very much loved by everyone. He loved children and they loved him. He will be missed by his loving wife of 28 years, Patricia Ann Waite; children, Ronald Waite, Tina (Steve) Feutz, Larry Waite, Brian (Deb) Waite, Teresa (Chuck) Leland, Melissa Garvon; step children, Richard Funk, Joseph (Janette) Funk, Debra Funk, Judy Pease, Timothy Funk; many grandchildren and great grandchildren which were very special to him; siblings, Lila (Bob) Stanley, Henry Waite Sr., Dan “Doc” Waite, Earl (Carmen) Waite; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Jerry) Beemer; brother-in-law, Ernest (Gerry) Archer Jr.; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Delores (Swarwood); parents, Harry and June Waite; siblings, Stan Waite, Lyle Waite, Dolly Gibbons, Ethel Hatten; sisters-in-law, Alice Waite and Agnes Waite; brother-in-law, Leroy Gibbons; step son, Kenneth Funk Jr.; parents-in-law, Ernest and Mary Archer Sr. The family will greet friends Thursday from 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. The service will be held Friday 1:00 pm at the The Springs Church, 135 N. Grant St, Cedar Springs with viewing beginning at 12:00 pm. Pastor Dallas Burgeson officiating. Interment North Ensley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
