Floyd E. Heimbecker

Floyd Emerson Heimbecker age 94 of Cedar Springs died Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at The Oaks at Belmont. Floyd was born on May 15, 1928 in Amble, MI the son of Albert and Nora (Switzer) Heimbecker. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed having a big garden, square dancing and John Deere tractors. Floyd and Bonnie were members of a motorhome club and spent many winters in Texas. Floyd could never sit still and was always working on a project. Surviving are his wife of almost 30 years, Bonnie; children, Kathy Boyd, Roberta (Rick) Gould, Teresa Baker (Tobe Wilson), Karla (Steve) Schmidt, Karl Wm. Fortuin Jr.; granddaughter, Amanda (Wes) Wright; grandson, Chris (Cori) Gould. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister. In keeping with Floyd’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to Rockford Springs Community Church, 5815 14 Mile Road, Rockford, MI 49341.
