Evelyn Marie Palethorpe

Evelyn M. Palethorpe, 88 of Cedar Springs, died Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at Metron of Belding. Mrs. Palethorpe was born October 2, 1917 in Newaygo County, MI the daughter of Archie and Estella (Klinghammer) Bridges. Surviving are 3 children, Joanne Mercer of Belding, Carol L. Caithaml of California, John R. (Doloris) Blue of Cedar Springs; 3 stepchildren, Butch Palethorpe, Paul Palethorpe and Jan Lee Weber; 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; 1 brother, Arthur (Doris) Bridges of Sparta; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, JC Palethorpe in 1998; sister, Leona Walker; brother, Leslie Bridges; great grandson, Tim Stowell. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, where services will be held Saturday 10:00 a.m. Pastor Larry Young officiating. Interment Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
