Elsie B. Barendreght

Elsie B. Barendreght, 99 of Grant, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2006 at Spectrum Health, United Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Barendreght was born July 23, 1906 in Kalkaska, MI the daughter of Charles and Lottie (Brown) Sage. She is survived by 3 daughters, Donna Bordewyk, Vera (John) Paulen, Caroline Barendreght; 4 sons, Jerry (Sharon), Curtis (Maxine), Rodney (Patricia) and Roger; 22 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern; a son-in-law, Herman Bordewyk; brothers, Doyle and Donald Sage; and a sister, Velma Pierce. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-9 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. The funeral service will be held Saturday 2:00 pm at the Ensley Baptist Church. Pastor James Ankerberg officiating. Interment Hillside Cemetery, Grant. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
