Elizabeth G. Greenland

Elizabeth G. Greenland age 78 of Rockford, died Monday, December 24, 2018 at Spectrum Health – Butterworth Campus. Betty was born July 16, 1940 in Winschoten, Netherlands the daughter of Aalderik and Jennie (Drenth) DeVries. She was a lighting designer working for Bridge St. Electric for over 20 years. She enjoyed traveling, cross stitching and meeting people. She was a positive optimistic person who loved her family and grandchildren. She will be missed by many dear friends. On May 17, 2004 she married the love of her life, Richard Greenland. Also surviving are her children, John (Laurie) VanderBerg, Jennie (Mike) Vos; stepsons, Rick (Brenda) Greenland, Bob (Donna) Greenland, Mike (Sharon) Greenland; daughter-in-law, Lora Greenland; grandchildren, James VanderBerg, Eric Kemink, Matthew Greenland, Luke Greenland, Nicholas Greenland, Adam Greenland, Tony Greenland, Sylvia Allen, Sara Stoots, Graham Greenland, Mercedes Eggleston; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Grace Bond. She was preceded in death by her parents and a stepson, Lee Greenland. The family will greet friends Friday from 4-7 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where the service will be held Saturday 10:30 am. Pastor Rick Tigchon officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
