Elinor M. Mcnay

Elinor M. McNay, 92 of Pierson, formerly of Grand Rapids, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007. Mrs. McNay was born July 1, 1915 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Arvid and Esther (Carlson) Sundstrom. She had worked at Herpolshiemers in the Cosmetic Department and worked for over 20 years at Siegel Jewelers. She taught art at the Grand Rapids Art Museam and was a prolific reader. Surviving are one son his wife, John & Mary McNay of Pierson; four grandchildren, Andrew (Tanya), Steven, Darin, and Stephanie; three great grandchildren, Braiden, Samuel, and Teagan; one brother, Edward Sundstrom of Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert M. McNay in 1977 and a son, James McNay in 2006. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Chicago. Memorial contributions may be made to the East Congregational Church Memorial Fund.
