Edward E. Boerma

Edward E. Boerma, 67 of Trufant, went to be with his Lord on Monday, April 19, 2010 at his home. Mr. Boerma was born January 13, 1943 in Big Rapids, MI the son of Mel and Dora (Leiter) Boerma. He was a supervisor at Electrolux, a hobby farmer, gardener, enjoyed woodworking and loved horses. Surviving are his wife, Ann (Fisk); children, Scott (Nancy) Beck, Klint (Amy) Beck, Rhonda (Barry) Sellers, Daryle (Kerri) Boerma, Duane (Tammy) Boerma, Darwin Boerma, Debbie Boerma, Dawn Boerma; grandchildren, Trent, Kara, Alicia, Brandon, Seth, Derek, Darren, Jessica, Hunter, Sage, D.J., Amanda, Laura, April, Marcy, Teddy; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Hilda (Ernie) Spedowski, Donna (Ken) Knapp; brother, Harold (Joyce) Boerma. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Lori; brother, Lloyd; and a sister, Ellen. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. The funeral service will take place Thursday 11:00 am at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Coral. Pastor Bert Boes officiating. Interment Trufant Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Memorial Hospital Cancer Center, Greenville.
