Edna L. Owen

Edna L. Owen age 92, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Green Acres of Cedar Springs. She was born December 24, 1933 in Buckley, MI, the daughter of the late Albert and Myra (Dame) Mongar. Edna was a member of Pierson Bible Church for over 20 years. She loved animals, especially her dogs. Edna enjoyed being outside tending her flower garden or raking leaves and picking up pinecones. She will be missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by her children, Brenda (Richard) Barnhart, Rita (Randall) Pentoney, Donna Blakley, Stephen (Gretchen) Root, Lisa (Larry) Dibble, Laurie (Roger) Reimer, Marvin (Wendy) Owen, Ronald Owen, Christine Todd, Marty (Jody) Owen; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; siblings, Daniel Mongar, Julia Houghton, Rex Mongar; several nieces and nephews. Edna was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry S. Root in 1972 and her second husband, Thomas R. Owen in 2005.

The family will greet friends 12:00 p.m., Thursday, October 8 at K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs with the funeral to follow at 12:30 p.m. Stephen Root officiating. Private family interment.
