Doyle T. Mckenney

Doyle T. McKenney age 80 of Pierson, died Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at his home. Doyle was born October 29, 1938 in Wyoming, MI the son of Percy and Mary (Schneider) McKenney. He worked as a baker for Delight Bakery. He and his wife, Marlene were very involved in Christ the King Catholic Church, Howard City. Doyle had a delightful sense of humor, a warm and willing smile and was a great listener. He enjoyed time at their trailer and on the water and racing at Marne. Surviving are his brothers, Gary (Norma), Gene (Bea), Ken (Linda), Randy (Margy); several nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Robert (Rozalyn) Weber, Joseph Weber. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene and a son, Andrew. The family will greet friends Tuesday 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday 11:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church, Howard City. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. Rev. Fr. James VanderLaan officiating. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Grand Rapids. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Church or Cystic Fibrosis.
