Douglas R. Terrill

Douglas R. Terrill age 54 of Cedar Springs, died Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus. Doug was born September 8, 1966 in Fremont, MI the son of Donald and Joyce Terrill. He was employed by Byrne Electric in Rockford. He had a big heart and went on many mission trips and was always helping others. He could fix anything, enjoyed being outdoors and hunting. Surviving are his wife, Kati; children, Jonathan Terrill, Melissa Grindle; grandchildren, Breylyn Grindle, Taylor Mae Stong; birth siblings, Deb (Jim) Bentley, Matt (Lisa) Terrill, Diane (Ben) Woody, Mike (Tammy) Terrill. After the passing of Doug’s birth mother at the age of 4, Doug showed up at the front door of Wayne & Jean Bumsteads home and stayed until he was 18. He fit right in with the Bumstead family and children, Richard Bumstead (deceased) Sue Ellen (Bob) McCreay, and Senator Jon (Cindy) Bumstead. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. A time to celebrate his life will be held Monday, May 24 from 4-7 pm at Hillcrest Community Church, 5994 18 Mile Road, Cedar Springs. Arrangements by Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
