Douglas R. Glerum

Douglas R. Glerum age 56 of Cedar Springs went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at his home with his family after a two year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born March 31, 1963 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Roger and Sandra (Kastelin) Glerum. Doug graduated from Cedar Springs High School in 1981 and was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Coral where he taught Sunday School. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, sports, camping, up north, and working outdoors. He was a jack of all trades and would always take care of others. He is survived by his wife, Gael; children, Stefanie Glerum and Spenser Glerum; father, Roger Glerum; brother, Brian (Janie) Glerum; sister, Bonnie (Geoff) Vermeulen. He was preceded in death by his mother. The family will greet friends Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral, Cedar Springs. The service will be held Sunday 3:00 pm at Grace Community Church, 9920 Reed Road, Howard City. Pastor Chris Kaufield officiating. Interment Aetna Cemetery, Morley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses.
