Douglas S. Boerman

Douglas S. Boerman age 59 of Howard City died July 16, 2019 at Mercy Health-St. Mary’s Hospital. Doug was born July 16, 1960 in Zeeland, MI the son of Wayne and Beverly (Berkompas) Boerman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, golf, anything outdoors and fixing anything. He is survived by Susie Plakmeyer; father, Wayne (Delores) Boerman; children, Jeremy (Alissa) Boerman, Lacey (Nick Shook) Boerman; grandchildren, Aydin Shook, Rylin Shook; brother, Daniel (Kimberly) Boerman; sisters, Donna (Tim) Bruxvoort, Debra Childs, Cathy (Jason) Brown, Kimberly (Cory) Luce; Susie’s children, Sam Platmeyer, Scott (Kirsten) Platmeyer; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly; grandmother, Dorothy Berkompas and brother-in-law, George Childs. The family will receive friends Thursday 1-3 & 5-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, where the service will be held Friday 11 am. Interment Winchester Cemetery, Byron Center, MI.
