Doris M. DeJong

Doris M. DeJong age 82 of Cedar Springs, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 14, 2026. She was born January 1, 1944 in Cedar Springs, MI the daughter of Peter and Thelma (Clingan) Hanna. Doris and Ron served Jesus Christ in Australia as church planting missionaries for 20 years. If there were words that describe Doris it would be peace and peaceful. Surviving are her husband, Ron whom she married on June 22, 1962; children, Dean (Kim) DeJong, Denise (Tim) Bergman, Dwight (Kathy) DeJong, Duane (Jayne) DeJong; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; twin brother, Don (Nancy) Hanna; sister, Myrna Weidenfeller; nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 22 at 11:00 am at Solon Township Cemetery for family, close friends and members of Maranatha Baptist Church. Pastor Joshua Tanner officiating.
