Donnadele Yvonne Lomashewich (Donna) age 83 of Cedar Springs, died Saturday, December 31, 2022 at her son’s home. She was born February 20, 1939 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Chester and Anna (Dauczka) Miller. She lived on Walker St. NW and graduated from Union High School. She worked at Dairy Queen and then got a job at Michigan Bell on Division St. and later in life worked at Ameritech. Donna also worked in many positions in food service and was cafeteria manager at Montgomery Wards in North Kent Mall and Rogers Plaza. She lived in Howard City and volunteered at a food pantry and the senior center. Later summer of 2019 some memory issues began to crop up. Donna was invited by her son and daughter in law to live with them. The Alzheimer/dementia journey began and lasted for 3.5 years and Donna started to lose interest in life. She was a word search wizard, and lost interest in that pursuit. The final decline was very fast. During her final days she was under the care of West Michigan Hospice. She was with some of her family when she passed. Mom was safe and warm and loved. Mom crossed over knowing she will be made whole again by God. Surviving are her children, Jerry (Marilyn), Tanya (Chuck) Davis and her childhood friend, Mamie Sims, Timothy (Monica), Joseph, Alexander; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; brother, Tony Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Michael Miller and Nancee Graves. The family will greet friends Friday, January 6 from 12:00 pm until time of service at 1:00 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Pastor Chuck Smith officiating. Private interment Courtland Township Cemetery.
