Donna L. Weis

Donna L. Weis, 70 of Grand Rapids, died Saturday, December 23, 2006 at Spectrum Health – Butterworth Campus. Mrs. Weis was born April 3, 1936 in Cadillac, MI the daughter of Alden and Ora (Griffee) Sims. She enjoyed being a grandmother and loved her grandchildren very much. Surviving are 2 children, Russell Weis of Howard City, Naomi Cubitt of Cedar Springs; 5 grandchildren, Racheal, Russell, and Leah Weis, Nathan Cubitt, and Alix Millar; 2 brothers, Larry Sims of East Jordan, David Sims of Tustin; 2 sisters, Ruth Cain of Sand Lake, Myrna Chapman of Sand Lake; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell in 1989. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3-5 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. A graveside service will be held Thursday 1:00 pm at Ashton Cemetery, north of Reed City. Pastor Bruce Chapman officiating.
