Donald L. Stalhood 62 of Mark Center, Ohio passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016 in Ohio. Don was born November 10, 1953 in Kokomo, IN the son of William and Ruth (Tressler) Stalhood. Donald L. Stalhood was one of a kind. A man who always took care of his family, breaking his back to do whatever it took to provide for those who needed him and he loved. A kind and giving man, with a creative and ingenious mind. He could build or fix anything he set out to do. He was always there to lend his knowledge, experience and hands to anyone that needed help. He always lent an ear, or a shoulder, never judging because of your past. He would offer encouragement and advice in a way that gave you hope and made you feel better about the future and yourself. He had a love for horseshoes, bowling, fishing, camping, golfing, tinkering, and any game or activity that challenged his skills. His sense of humor and laughter brought smiles and joy to every situation. He shared his love for the Lord and spiritual peace with those who needed it, a true inspiration and a great loss to our world. The size of his heart was the greatest thing about him and the worst is the hole he has left in all of ours. Surviving are his significant other, Tina; children, Heather Towers, Christine (Russell) Inman, Lee (Karla) Stalhood, Nicole Stalhood; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; father, William Stalhood; brothers, Edward (Jeanie) Stalhood, Randy (Sheri) Stalhood, Rex (Joyce) Stalhood; sister, Susan (William) Bowyer; mother of his children, Joan Stalhood. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Stalhood. The family will greet friends Monday from 4-7 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.
