Donald J. Reed age 79 of Morley went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Spectrum Health-Big Rapids Campus. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI on June 24, 1937 to Clarence & Beatrice (Robinson) Reed. Don worked for General Motors on Alpine for 31 years. Don’s passion was being an evangelist who loved to tell you about Jesus. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Della Mae; children, Donald (Diane) Reed, Jr., Timothy Reed, Jack (Kathy) Briggs, Mike (Matilda) Briggs, Timothy (Rhonda) Briggs, James (Dianne) Reed Briggs, Ken (Kim) Addis, Kerry (Deb) Stout, Scott (Brenda) Osbun, and Robert (Sandie) Farmer; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Matthew Reed; and his siblings. The family will greet friends Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. The service will be held Wednesday 11:00 am at Cedar Creek Community Church, 2969 14 Mile Road NE, Sparta with viewing beginning at 10:00 am. Pastors Richard Nichols and Steve Finn officiating. Interment Algoma Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
