Diane D. Cartwright

Diane D. Cartwright age 61 of Cedar Springs died Friday, January 17, 2020 at her home. Diane was born August 17, 1958 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Charles and Tyree (Hall) Shelmon. Her passion was her grandchildren and she loved watching them play their sports. She was the neighborhood mother when the kids were growing up. Surviving are her children, Crystal (Odell) Morales, Latrice (Bryan) Russell, Dennis Cartwright Jr, Kandis (Lucas) Calkins; grandchildren, Odell Jr, Jacob, Thomas, Miles, Omani, Aaliyah, Dennia, Kymen, Arielle, Lelend, Alora, Amya, Dennis III; aunt, Lera (James) Jackson; sisters, Merdas McAfee, Loyola Williams, Charlotte Buckhanan, Barbara Myers, Suzette Murchison; mother-in-law, Mary Cartwright; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Onealious Colbert, Sylvester Herron, Vera Porter, Paul Myers, Charles Shelmon, Beverly Shelmon. The family will greet friends Monday, January 27 from 11:00 am until time of service at 12:00 pm at Solon Center Wesleyan Church, 15671 Algoma Avenue, Cedar Springs. Pastor Bill Dixon officiating.
