Denny Lee Sytsma

Denny Lee Sytsma, 64 of Grand Rapids, died Monday, November 26, 2007 at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans where he had been a resident for the last 12 years. Denny was born in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Ben and Julia (Snell) Sytsma. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War from 1961 - 1964. He had been employed by the Laundry Service on Wealthy St. in Grand Rapids for many years. Surviving are 2 brothers, Ronald Sytsma and Roy Sytsma; 2 sisters, Peggy Bellgraph and Susie Hise; 1 sister-in-law, Barb Stysma; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Pat Sytsma and Edward Sytsma. Visitation will be held Thursday from 1:00 pm until time of funeral service at 2:00 pm at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans Chapel. Rev. Mike Fairbrother officiating. Interment in the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements by Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
