Dennis A. Johansen

Dennis A. Johansen, 60 of Cedar Springs, died Monday, February 16, 2009 at Spectrum Health – Butterworth Campus. Dennis was born July 17, 1948 in Big Rapids, MI the son of Kenneth and Catherine (Miller) Johansen. He was a Tool & Die Maker working for Autodie for 22 years and CS Tool for 10 years. Dennis enjoyed his friends and family and was a very loyal and likeable person. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Christine; 2 children, Timothy Johansen of Cedar Springs, Tiffany Johansen of New Orleans, LA; 3 grandchildren, Zander, Xavier, and Zane; sister, Karen (Al) Douglas of Leesburg, FL; brother, Marvin (Paula) Johansen of Haslett; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, where services will be held Thursday 11:00 am. Pastor Jacob Heerema officiating. Interment Parkhill Cemetery, Paris. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family to help with medical expenses.
