Denise A. Veltkamp

Denise A. Veltkamp age 75 of Sand Lake, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Spectrum Health United Memorial Hospital, Greenville. She was born December 12, 1946 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of George and Marjorie (Wert) Hawley Sr. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, birds and butterflies. She loved the Lord and studying her Bible. Denise was very involved at her church, Pierson Bible where she led the GriefShare, Blast kids programs and funeral luncheons. She loved her family, especially her great grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Jerald (Emily) Magoon Jr., Rebecca (Roy) Starr, Shaun (Tanya) Magoon, John Magoon (April Wood); 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; siblings, George Hawley Jr., Timothy (Jenny) Hawley Sr., Kathy Trader, Margaret (Mike) Carriere, Jeff (Dawn) Hawley Sr., Brian Hawley, Sam Hawley; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clinton; siblings, Bonnie (Bob) Clayton, Jennie Magoon, Irene (Tommy) Lee, Kris Hawley. The family will greet friends Monday, December 5 from 12:00 pm until time of service at 1:00 pm at Pierson Bible Church, 101 Grand St., Pierson. Pastor Tom Ekkel officiating.
