View Photo Tribute Denise R. Simon 50 of Howard City, died Sunday, December 31, 2006 at her home. Denise was born August 12, 1956 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Frank and Geraldine (Talsma) Mills. She had worked at the Sand Lake Elementary School as a Para-Professional Aide for the last 8 years. She lived for her family and kids and enjoyed being a soccer mom. Surviving are her husband Ronald; 3 children, Tressa, Rebekah and Jacob all of Howard City; her mother, Geraldine Karsten of Phoenix, AZ; 1 sister, Elaine & Dennis Knaak of Wyoming; 3 brothers, Leonard Mills of Kentwood, Albert Mills of Casnovia, Michael Karsten of Battle Creek; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, where services will be held Thursday 11:00 am. Pastor Jorge Ballivian officiating. Interment Sand Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a college fund for her children.
