Delores J. Wainright

Delores J. Wainright age 88 of Rockford, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at her home. She was born June 20, 1935 in Newaygo, MI the daughter of Leon and Violet (Holmes) Brace. She loved the Lord and was a devoted Christian. She was very involved in the Church of the Full Gospel in Sand Lake. She served as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher. She helped with the church dinners and played the organ. Delores enjoyed knitting mittens, hats and blankets for children and also gave them to local outreach centers. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Surviving are her husband of 70 years, Melvin; children, Marcia Morgan, Ronald Wainright, Susan Horovitz, Nancy Modlin, Bonnie Bouman, Larry (Beth) Wainright; grandchildren, Amie Anderson, Malinda (Burton) Lindenmuth, Brian (Nancy) Horovitz, Jessica (Danny) Ford, Trevor (Laurel) Bouman, Bretton (Allison) Wainright, Jaymes (Breanne) Wainright, Justin (Seneca) Wainright; 12 great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Steven Horovitz; daughter-in-law, Beverly Wainright; grandsons, Brentton Wainright and Donovan Modlin. The family will greet friends Friday, April 12 from 6-8 pm at the K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where the service will be held Saturday 11:00 am. Visitation will begin Saturday 10:00 am. Pastor Gary Giddings officiating. Interment Rockford Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Corewell Health Hospice or the Church of the Full Gospel, Sand Lake.
